Windows 10 Dev / Preview and Portal Office 365 (Portal.office.com) errors solution / workaround

Problem:

A soon as you finish loading your new Preview of Windows 10 you’ll want to install Office 2013 or Office 2016 from Office 365 and you’ll quickly find that https://portal.office.com / https://portal.MicrosoftOnline.com comes up with a nasty error blocking your access.

Solution:

You’ll be able to access the site with Chrome or by adding the *.Office.com and *.MicrosoftOnline.com to your Internet Explores Compatible sites list under Tools. If you don’t have Tools as an option right click the title bar in Internet Explorer and click to enable the Command Bar, from here click Tools, then Compatibility View Settings and add the above. The *. means include any subdomains or servers. This should solve the issue for the most common Servers and Sites at Microsoft.

Note if you used the Visio or MS Project Services you might have to add those domains too.

Please also include this feedback in your Windows Preview Program Feedback app.

If you are a E3 or Enterprise subscriber you can get the Office 2016 PC / MAC Preview but it will not run side by side with any other Office Version so I’d suggest you wait.

Please post questions below./
