Qwest DSL – Actiontec Modem – Sonicwall (or anything) Some websites work, some websites don’t!

Are you having problems with your DSL from Qwest or anyother provider with a Actiontec Modem?

I’ve spent hours on the phone with tech support and managers – NO SOLUTION!
I’ve had a tech onsite who didn’t contect our IT department or fix our problem – NO SOLUTION!

Personal or Business doesn’t matter, Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows 7, Vista or XP doesn’t matter, Dedicated IP, New modem (PK5000, replaced GT701) doesn’t matter still NO SOLUTION!

Check DSL filters, tested on IE7, IE8, IE9 – NO SOLUTION!

YELLED AT QWEST – NO SOLUTION!

Changed MTU in myself (without QWEST SUPPORT) in Sonicwall – FIXED
The SonicWALL currently only accepts MTU increments of 8 (1500, 1492, 1484, 1476, .. 1436, 1428, …)

Personal:
If you do not have a firewall device to change the MTU you will have to buy a router that can have the MTU changed or change on all of your XBox, Computers, Mobile phones and Netflix devices.

I’ve had to do this in Windows 7 and is wasn’t too bad.
