This weeks shitting Bresnan Speedtest results

I’ve been having issue for months with foxnews.com/videos and other location. I have no issue with Live TVPC.com feeds which leads me to think we’re being capped.

I’ve added the below to prove how poor of a company Bresnan Communications is in Grand Junction, Colorado. We’ve moved to Qwest and had great service and support for 1 year. The loss of my time during the usage of bresnan services would have paid for the full T1 at $199 a month so we are very happy with Qwests $29.99 a month for a year.

There was a switch that recently malfunction and was replace that could be the cause of their problems but we need an address to properly trouble shoot the issue please have them call to see if we can determine the cause and make repairs if need.  It’s not a good practice to assume the cause as I sure you know. 

I contacted BBB they have our information correct, I don’t know why they would tell you we closed this office and they could not answer that question either. 

As far as DSL Reports information I have no contact information for them I looked over there site and it is my understanding that they gather ISP data from users.  I know for a short time this system was Comcast formally AT&T Broadband so my best guess is that a customer registered with DSL Reports and list that as their ISP and they have not updated it.  If you have the information on how I can get that changed I would be happy to follow up.

I’m still hearing a lot of complaints and frustration from Bresnan users in Grand Junction. I have a client 7th and North that has been dropping Voip calls over the last few weeks like crazy. I also have friends who I’ve talked about before that where doing better(less full dropouts during gaming) for the last few months on Bresnan who started having performance issues that last few weeks. It doesn’t seem like much is getting better.

When I contacted the better business bureau  in New Mexico which covers Grand Junction they said they were reported this Bresnan office was closed and I couldn’t file a complaint because of it. I expect this gets fixed and you conduct business properly. You are also reported in dslreports for 81505 as being Comcast which has a much better rating than Bresnan does.

Here is how I test on qwest for $29.99 a month for a year. Quality Netflix movies and shows with little buffer or load time for more than one person at a time.

Just an FYI we have competed our link to Seattle and are just fine-tuning it and were implementing a more strict download limit we expect these two measures should give us more consistent speeds.  Plus we working very hard to go to the DOCISIS 2.0 format with will also increase speeds.  So were doing quite a bit to get the speeds up and maintained.  Thanks.

Bresnan Speed Form requested 9/02/2008 from Benjamin Cooper, Tracert sent with speed test included above, I talked to an engineer on this day. I strongly suggest you review my speed tests from 2008 and now! I had 4 times the bandwidth tests in 2008 then today. You should have 3 years of my complaints and call-in’s.

Today’s Tracert and test from Qwest. With compare of last few months of Bresnan testing all the way back to 9/02/2008 where I submitted a Bresnan Speed Test complaint form, I then had 15/1mb and only tested at 3.5 to Grand Junction on your own Network. AT NO TIME have I EVER SEEN THIS GET BETTER SINCE 2008! This is 09/02/2008 to 04/07/2010 of Complaints, Speed tests, tracerts and much more.

    • So you’re on a Bresnan connect you tell me, you get 6-8mb of bandwidth to the internet not just Bresnan’s local offices? DSLREPORTS? lets see it, you call me a moron show us your speed and how well bresnan is working for you.

      I’ve seen 65 year old women treated like dirt in my local bresnan office because they are changing to qwest after 9 months of fighting bresnan to fix their connect, they’d called bresnan to service their internet and tv once a month for 9 months and have given up. The Bresnan rep behind the desk for 20 minute abused this customer over and over “WHAT IF WE SEND OUT A MANAGER TODAY!!! over and over!!!

      We’re feed up. If you fell like your connect works even 60% of what they say it would then great for you but the rest of us aren’t getting shit from BRESNAN.

      I have 3 years of speed tests never over 2MB of throughput to the INTERNET! Bresnan is a scam. I had more bandwidth in 2006 than in 2009. I can also watch live streaming video over my VERIZON TETHERED ANDROID better than BRESNAN CABLE!!!

      I’ve also updated this post with alot of information and recorded speed tests but I’m betting you work for Bresnan so it wont matter.

    • on a side note, bresnan uses Qwest in denver, any tracert I’ve done qwest is the connect in denver and means bresnan’s screwing you.
