Windows 7 to burst PC market? coming layoffs?

One must ask yourself if you’re Dell, HP orSony if Microsoft’s release of Windows 7 will be the nail that burst the PC bubble. I put forth with the ease of using old junker Pentium 4’s and the lack of any need to buy new hardware due to layoffs and lack of growth we will see major layoffs from Dell, HP, Sony and others. While some people might go out and buy new computers for Windows 7, due to money and job issues I would suggest as I think most IT staff that they upgrade their Vista PC’s or just add more RAM to their older XP systems. By moving to Windows 7 even on older hardware you can increase the performance of the computer well past anything you’ve ever seen with XP or Vista. All Businesses should pull out older systems set for the trash and reuse them with Windows 7 solving budget drops in IT across the US.

You put the lack of demand, with the ability to use already purchased hardware and it doesn’t take a mad man like glenn beck to tell you PC sales will be down. This doesn’t even start to talk about cloud computing.

IPv6 will force network equipment sales but not desktops sales.
